Glasgow to host UN COP26 climate change summit in 2021. COP 26 will be a major opportunity for all countries to make commitments to invest in nature and climate solutions that will halt our runaway climate breakdown and restore the biodiversity on which human life depends. The conference has been described as the most important gathering on climate change since the Paris agreement signed in 2015 with up to 200 world leaders expected to attend. 2021’s conference is seen as a major crossroads in the battle against global climate change.  It is the year in which governments are due to review their promises to cut carbon emissions in line with the latest science.
